The Commander of the Swedish Home Guard visited the Defence League

The Commander of the Swedish Home Guard, Brigade General Roland Ekenberg visited the Defence League on the 19th and 20th of April, to discuss co-operation between their respective organizations, and to primarily form an agreement between the organizations that would simplify the planning and executing of joint endevours.
Along with the Defence League Head Quarters, Brigade General Ekenberg also visited the EDL Tallinn section and the Defence League school. He will be meeting with the Minister of Defence, Margus Tsahkna and the Commander of the Defence Forces, General Riho Terras today.

The co-operation of the Swedish Home Guard and the Defence League has become much more intensive and multifacited with each passing year. For example the Young Eagles „Noorkotkad“ and the Girl’s organization „Kodutütred“ of the Valga county section have been participating in the Swedish youth winter exercises in Östersund every year. The Young Eagles „Noorkotkad“ and the Girl’s organization „Kodutütred“of the Pärnu county and Rapla section traditionaly participate in the competition „National competition for Home Guard and Association“. Voluntary members of the Defence League train in Swedish survival courses as well as the Swedish Home Guard and EDL Tallinn section orchesters are planning a joint concert.
